CKCS Student Council

The purpose of the student council is to give students an opportunity to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects. In addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare, the student council is the voice of the student body.

Student Council meets from the middle of August through the end of the school year. Elections are held in May for the following school year. Students are required to turn in applications, campaign, prepare a two-minute speech presented to the whole school, and maintain a certain grade expectation. In late April, early May, the current Student Council visits the 5th Grade classes to explain what they do and encourage them to apply.
